Dashboard Terms of Use

Last updated October 13, 2026

These terms govern use of Ridgeview Dashboards (the "Application"), a web application that Ridgeview Financials, LLC ("Ridgeview") provides to its clients as part of a fractional CFO engagement. By signing in to the Application you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the client organization that authorized your access.

1. The Application and who may use it

The Application presents financial dashboards built from a client's accounting records, principally QuickBooks Online, together with budgets and other inputs the client provides. It is available only to Ridgeview clients with an active engagement and to the individual users those clients authorize. It is not offered to the public. Where these terms and a client's engagement agreement conflict, the engagement agreement controls.

2. License

Ridgeview grants each authorized user a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Application for the client's internal business purposes during the engagement. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. The Application, its design, code and report structures are Ridgeview's property; the client's financial data remains the client's property.

3. Accounts and access

4. QuickBooks Online connection

The Application connects to the client's QuickBooks Online company through Intuit's developer platform. The connection is read-only: the Application never creates, edits or deletes records in QuickBooks. The client (or Ridgeview acting under the client's accountant access) authorizes the connection and may revoke it at any time from within QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Online itself is governed by Intuit's terms, which Ridgeview does not control.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt to access data belonging to another organization, probe or test the security of the Application, reverse engineer it, use automated tools to extract data from it, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Exporting your own organization's data for your own business use is fine.

6. Data and privacy

How Ridgeview handles data in the Application, including the QuickBooks data it reads, is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Nature of the information

Dashboards are prepared from the client's own books and from inputs the client supplies, and are refreshed on a schedule shown in the Application. They are management reporting tools and are not audited, reviewed or compiled financial statements, and they do not constitute tax, legal or investment advice. Figures may differ from the client's books between refreshes or where source records change. Decisions made in reliance on the dashboards are the client's own.

8. Availability

Ridgeview aims to keep the Application available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, provider outages and QuickBooks service interruptions can affect availability or data freshness. Ridgeview is not responsible for the availability of third-party services the Application depends on.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ridgeview disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from use of the Application. Ridgeview's total liability relating to the Application is limited to the fees paid by the client for the Application-related portion of services in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

Access ends when the client's engagement ends or when either party terminates it on notice. On termination Ridgeview will, at the client's request, provide an export of the client's dashboard data and then delete it as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

Ridgeview may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the Application or by email to the client's primary contact before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Greenville County, South Carolina. Questions about these terms: spencer@ridgeviewfinancials.com.
